RED MOUNTAIN RENEGADES WHAT'S NEW

new2010 SHOOTOUT AT THE RIDGE May 21st - 23rd

               INFORMATION FLYER                          ENTRY FORM

new     Howdy Folks………..

Congratulations to all that came out to our RO-1 course Sunday February 7th, 2010.  To say that the turn out was impressive, would be an understatement!  A group of 32 gathered at the Mission Rod and Gun Club House to take the SASS RO1 course. Everyone received in depth classroom training in the morning. After a a nice hot lunch at noon, everyone headed up to Lil’ Tombstone where some hands on training was completed. Two stages were set up for folks to both shoot and try out their new skills at range operations.  The day ended at about 4:00.  The weather was not all that bad considering that at this time last year, Lil’ Tombstone had almost 12 inches of snow on it.

Thank you and congratulations to all that came out.

I would also like to give special thanks to a few folks that put in a lot of effort and gave of their time to make this work. Of course, sincere thanks goes to both Gifford Gringo and Rusty Wood.  Both these guys put a lot of time in preparing and presenting this course and we appreciate it.  Besides….You guys are great instructors!

While we were all inside, warm and dry, Hoppy was up at the range setting stages and getting everything ready for us up at Lil’ Tombstone.  Thanks Hoppy!

And of course Dallas Dancer…..Thanks for taking inventory of all that occurred today, taking pictures, collecting funds, paying the bills and helping me keep my books in order.  Thanks Dallas!

Remember we have our first Fun Match coming up March 7th.
See you all in March

December 27th, 2009  Range Operations Course NOW REQUIRED

After lengthy discussion, the Red Mtn. Renegade's organizing committee has made a decision to make the SASS Rang Operations 1 Course mandatory.  The intent is to have every member of the Red Mountain Renegades successfully complete the course.  By doing so it ensures each and every event we host or attend will be conducted in a safe manner.  That folks is the primary purpose of the course, SAFETY.

Fun Shoots
On fun shoots the atmosphere is meant to be more relaxed than competitive so it is a great time for new shooters to get their feet wet and make the step from plinker to Shootist, as well, they are great practice for the more competitive shoots to hone their skills. Spectators can see what it is all about and get the bug.
All shoots start 9:30 AM sharp with a mandatory safety meeting at 9:00 AM.

Main Matches
Main Matches are meant for more experienced shooters. For new shooters it is advised you should attend a couple of fun shoots before competing in one of our main matches. Spectators are always welcome.
All shoots start 9:30 AM sharp with a mandatory safety meeting at 9:00 AM.
